Eyebrow waxing question!!!?

Ok, my mom is taking me to get my eyebrows waxed for the first time tomorrow and I am really scared. Could you tell me the process and if it really hurts? Oh and will it make a big difference if my eyebrows are bloned, and not really bad?THANKS!!!!!Eyebrow waxing question!!!?
I always get nervous right before I get mine done, and I'm 29!!! It hurts when they first pull the strip (I tend to jump). But it only hurts for 1 second. I usually bleed a little too and my eyes water like crazy.

The person who waxes my eyebrows tells me that I have deep rooted brows.Eyebrow waxing question!!!?
Its really simple and it doesn't hurt at all. Maybe just a slight sting, but nothing more than that. Its over with in like 5-10 minutes. You just lay there, and let her do her job. Just be sure to discuss what shape it is that you are seeking. Also, make sure you go to a high end spa instead of a nails/tanning/waxing place. They are the worst. Go to a licensed, and experienced esthetician for the best results.

Good luck!
usually it's not that bad. The first time I got them done I shed a tear because it forces you too, it didn't hurt but it hits a nerve ahah. If it's a nice place your going then it will be peaceful and calming which is always good. Also , if the place is good then your going to be just fine, but my friend once got skin pulled off/ burned off because the wax wasn't very good :S hope I helped! ( you'll be just fine ) :)
No lies here- it will hurt the first few times you do it but you get used to is after a while. Plus, it only hurts for a couple of seconds and then you've got great brows. It's better than tweezing, I think.

Groomed eyebrows can make all the difference in the world. You'll be amazed after you see how great you look.

Usually what happens is they'll clean your brow area and then apply a hot wax, which won't burn, it will just be really warm. Then they put a gauze over that and press it in and then very quickly they pull off that strip and all the wax and hair comes with it. The pull should be less than 1 second. You'll feel a sting for a few seconds but if you put a cold finger on the area you'll feel better. Then they'll put a little oil on to remove any wax and you're done!!
You'll lay down on a table, the waxer will rub some liquid on a cotton ball over your brows (it's a prep solution). You'll talk about what you want, she'll apply the wax and pull it off. Then she'll put something else on your brows (to remove excess wax/soothe your brows). It doesn't hurt terribly bad and the more you have it done, the less it hurts.

Yes, it will make a difference, there's less to do, so less pain/time.
Don't be scared it's really quick, and it depends on your tolerance for pain. All salons do it different, but the professional way is, they cleanse the area first, then they MIGHT put some numbing stuff on you, then some powder, the the wax it will be warm, they MIGHT let it cool a little first, then the wax strip, then if you ask them to count so you can brace yourself they will do it for you and then you got pretty eyebrows. THen they will put a oil on there to get any excess wax off, and little bit of tweezing to get little hairs they missed. Hope this helps! Shamona D.
see what would we do without yahoo answers......................... always a little person behind a screen to help you lol :P
it's nothing to worry about,

but if you're comfortable the way your eyebrows are now,

tell your mom you don't want them done.

But, it really does shape them up, and create a nice clean brow.

A waxed brow can actually give you a more awake look(:

If you choose too wax them,

they will have you sit on a reclining chair,

and you'll simply close your eyes.

They'll place a nice hot wax on the eyebrows,

(it's warm feeling, so relaxing, but it can make your

eyes water a little bit)

then they'll take a paper, and simply put it over the wax,

and peel quickly but carefully. You'll feel a little jerk,

but it's nothing extreme. After they're finished they may

pluck any strays with tweezers, and then put a nice

cooling aloe.

your brows might get a bit pink or red- totally normal-

just don't touch them! the skin is still sensitive for about 20-30

minutes after waxing.

don't worry, just relax, and you'll actually feel quite pampered(:
It doesn't hurt bad at all, it will only sting for a second afterwards. And your eyes will likely water so don't wear make-up. It doesn't make any difference what colour your eyebrows are.

You will go in, and she will lay you down on a chair, you can tell her its your first time and that you just want them cleaned up a bit. Close your eyes, shell put the wax on one eye brow, apply the material, press and rip. Done! She will then probably tweeze the hairs that got missed. And move on to the next eye brow!

Good luck, its really not bad at all!
no it doesn't hurt at all. You feel a sting but then they put this cooling stuff on it so it doesn't sting anymore. It feels a lot better than plucking them that's for sure! they shape them very well too. My eyebrows always look good after I get them waxed. I highly recommend it!
